DMP will be involved in Task 1 to define the Test campaign from the point of view of designer and manufacturer, contributing in the selection of parameters, calculation tools and manufacturing issues according to aeronautical standards.
In Task 2 will contribute in the preparation of the manufacturing process by developing drawings and clear instructions for shop-floor. It will be charged on managing row material and heat treatment suppliers. Previously it will help Topic manager to design the Test Articles profile tooth by considering micro geometry and macro geometry parameters if necessary. Load Tooth Contact Analysis also will be considered.
In Task 3, DMP will participate in testing and analysing the final results to confirm the expected benefits. It includes the verification of the adapted test rig, that components do not suffer any damage, accuracy and alignment of elements and geometry. The LTCA calculations will be used for comparing results. DMP is also in charge of coordinating the tasks and manage the administrative and financial aspects of the project.

Its mission is to help the industrial sector to increase its innovative capacity by means of generating and applying technology and knowledge in order to be more competitive. It is mainly specialized in: Designing consumer and industrial products; Solving problems relating to friction, wear and lubrication; Incorporating information technologies and communications in the plant; High precision, miniaturisation and micro/ nanotechnologies.
IK4-TEKNIKER is currently part of the Research Alliance IK4 whose partners include other technological centers. They have rich experience not only in providing companies with technological support, but also generating new business initiatives, which are usually technological and, often, as "spin offs" of the centre itself. Since the early nineties, it has been involved in setting up around twenty new business initiatives to a greater or lesser extent.
IK4-TEKNIKER will participate in the OPTIMIZE project as a RTD partner. Its main role is related to the experimental validation of the effects of different factors in the meshing behaviour of spur gears. It will be the leader of WP1 and WP2. It will be responsible of defining the testing campaign, testing conditions, test execution and analysis of results. The tests will be performed using an already available gear test rig, the FZG gear test rig.
